TV from Sharp, ultrawidescreen (21:9) TVs from Vizio and others, and some apparently gorgeous display tech from Sony (Crystal LCD) and Samsung (Super OLED). My favorite design, though, came from the fine folks who make my fridge, LG—it’s the set pictured above. I can’t really overstate how great ultrathin bezels look on large HDTVs—it really makes the picture seem as if it’s just magically floating midair. I’d like to think they can do it, but I’m doubtful if Apple can come up with something that’s dramatically more pared-down and elegant that this LG.
